Reply button label fails to render on a specific forum

Hello, please forgive me if I’m duplicating another report; I’ve done my best to search first.

I saw a report of this in another community’s Discourse forum at least several weeks back (may have been months), and I and at least one other am encountering it still today.

On the iOS (26) Safari view, the “reply” button at the bottom of a Topic thread has no text label, making it difficult to identify (confusing new users especially)

I’m attaching the screenshot a peer shared in our community forum. This reflects my experience, as well.

This is what I see here (and on my own forum):

Are you sure that isn’t a TC/theme issue? How about safe mode?

Not sure at all! And I don’t have a ton of history with Discourse prior to said particular community forum, of which I am only a member.

Not familiar with Safe Mode in context of Discourse, and not knowledgeable about Discourse themes, but that certainly makes sense that it could be theme-specific. (I am not seeing the issue here on my own iPhone; I created this topic in my Mac.)

I gather this needs to be brought to the attention of someone administering the other forum?

Correct, yes, let the admins of said forum know. If the forum is public, you can also share the URL here and we can help inspect the issue, as much as that is possible without admin access to the forum.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I did check it in Safe Mode and the issue indeed disappeared. Good call.

Thanks again! I do believe it is a private forum, but I have called our admins’ attention to it. They have their hands very full with the larger project the forum is about, but hopefully we can get this solved ASAP.

When the time comes, is there any easy way to have them alert the rest of the Discourse world as to which theme/customization the issue is found to be isolated?

Cool. If it’s an issue with a common theme or theme component, they can post here on meta, we’d be happy to help.
