Reply to comment directly on WordPress vs. Linked to Discourse topic

Hi Everyone -

I’ve just taken a trial with Discourse and set up WP-Discourse plugin.

I thought th eplugin would allow my WordPress users to directly comment in my WordPress posts and have those comments show BOTH in WordPress and in Discourse.

Posts like this one: I’m tracking down the world’s best community builders. Here’s what I’ve learned so far... do exactly this.

How do I achieve this please??

Hi,

Thank you for this…BUT…the embed will only embed the replies in WordPress - yet if WordPress readers want to comment, they click continue discussion and again it sends them to Discourse.

I’d like to remove that redirect step.

I’d like my WordPress readers to comment/reply directly in WordPress via the embed widget and have the reply show up BOTH in WordPress and Discourse.

The blog.discourse.org WordPress blog does this - please…how can I achieve this identical thing?

i am pretty sure blog.discourse.org uses Ghost, not WordPress

You need to use the embed system and turn on full app mode, as described here: Embed Discourse as a full comment system on your site. As mentioned above, the Discourse blog uses Ghost, not Wordpress… but you should be able to use the same method outlined in the linked posts.
