Request for Support — MadeForTrade.in Discourse Community Upgrade Issues & Email Delivery Failure

Hi, I am the Community Manager at MadeForTrade.in, a community built exclusively for India’s super traders and long-term investors. We currently have 11,000+ of India’s most prominent traders and investors on our platform.

Key Issues We Are Facing

  1. Unable to successfully upgrade Discourse to the latest version

    • Every upgrade attempt leads to multiple errors.

    • This results in repeated downtime and we often have to restore from backups.

  2. Emails have stopped working entirely

    • No system emails are being sent out — including:

      • User email change verification

      • Trust level/tag-related notifications

      • Any community-generated email notifications

    We have attached the exact error we receive while attempting email delivery.

What We Are Looking For

  • Assistance in fixing the upgrade process and stabilizing future upgrades.

  • Support in troubleshooting and restoring email functionality.

  • Guidance on best practices to prevent these issues going forward.

We are also open to purchasing plans or subscriptions if required.

Additional Clarification

Do you offer paid support plans or licenses for self-hosted deployments—specifically anything that includes:

  • Priority technical support

  • Assistance with upgrades and maintenance

  • Paid/premium features while continuing to host on our infrastructure

It sounds like you may want paid support. AFAIK Discourse provides support for its customers; this forum is community support. If you’re seeking to hire someone, perhaps this should be moved to Marketplace? If not, perhaps you should split this up into multiple topics (like 1 query per topic) so it’s easier to answer?
