This might be a long shot, but is there a way to require new posts in a category to have one tag from Tag Group A and one or more tags from Tag Group B. I know we can require a min number of tags on new topics, but that doesn’t do it. Perhaps using parent/child tags?
Here’s the use case: we would like our posters to tell us which which operating system (tag group A) and which product (tag group B) that their query is concerning. If we just require min of 2 tags, they can select 2 products instead of one OS and on product.
