Hi everyone,
We’ve noticed what appears to be a significant delay between adjudicating a flag in the review queue and the corresponding notification being removed from the moderator notifications menu (the avatar/notifications dropdown).
Even after a flag has been reviewed and a moderation action has been taken, the notification continues to appear for an extended period before eventually disappearing.
This is affecting our moderation workflow because our moderators typically use the notifications menu to quickly jump to the next review item. When already-adjudicated review items remain in the list, moderators repeatedly open items that have already been processed instead of being taken directly to pending work.
Expected behavior
Once a review item has been adjudicated, its associated notification should be removed (or otherwise no longer presented as actionable) promptly so that the notifications menu reflects the current state of the review queue.
Actual behavior
- A flag is reviewed and adjudicated.
- The associated notification remains visible in the notifications menu for a considerable amount of time.
- Moderators may repeatedly navigate back to already-completed review items, disrupting the review workflow.
Curious if others are running into this behavior as well.
Thanks!
