RFE:絵文字フラグを古いシリア国旗から新しいシリア国旗に更新

Hello, please forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this request, as it is the first time I have made a feature request in Discourse.

My request is to update the :syria: emoji flag from the old Syrian flag to the new Syrian flag. In December 2024, the previous regime in Syria fell and a transitional government was instated. As part of this transition, a new national flag was adopted. I am a community lead in the Fedora Project, and this came up in a topic over on our site:

For additional context, here is the images of the old flag and the new flag, just to demonstrate the difference:

Old flag:

New flag:

For even more context, I saw this excerpt from Emojipedia:

As of April 2025, this emoji shows the flag of Syrian National Coalition (a horizontal triband of green, white, and black, with three red five-pointed stars on the white band) on updated Apple and Samsung devices, as well as within WhatsApp on Android. Other vendors are expected to follow suit in the future.

Many other vendors still display this emoji as the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic (a horizontal triabnd of red, white, and black; charged with two green stars at the centre).

Is it possible for Discourse to update the emoji pack used for the Syrian flag to include the new flag? I know this would mean a lot for Syrians inside and outside of Syria who are a part of our online communities.

Thank you!

Same for me on Chrome 141.0.7390.70 on Android 16, Samsung Galaxy S24+. I see the new flag, but on desktop (Firefox 143), I see the old flag.

My guess is that the device emoji set is used on Android, but on desktop web, it appears to be fetching the flag from the Discourse CDN (at least, for the Fedora Discussion site).
