Fabien.

[صورة] FabienL: Do you know if such a feature is planned in the official Discourse roadmap? I can answer this one: no, not at all. Infinite scroll on the topiclist is not something we’re planning to manoeuvre around. There are lots of topics about that subject already to be found on this site. And afaik, no one has ever implemented anything custom either. What you could look at is to use the Custom landingspage feature, which would allow you to build a custom landingspage, so your footer could appear on the very first page at least.

In addition to the options Charlie suggested, it may also be sufficient to configure the homepage so that it displays categories rather than the latest topics. That list isn’t infinite. The homepage is defined by the first element in the top_menu site setting.

And keeping mind @Moin suggestion, OP could remember that users can change that functionality and start using /latest — and again footer is missing. Meaning that design should plan using way where footer is not that important. The factoid is users aren’t using footer that often. More admins like idea of a footer.

I’ve made use of this Theme Component to achieve exactly what you need: [صورة] Easy Responsive Footer Theme component discourse2 Summary Easy Responsive Footer will allow you to build a fully-responsive footer using nothing but plain text. eyeglasses Preview Preview on Discourse Theme Creator hammer_and_wrench Repository Link https://github.com/discourse/Discourse-easy-footer open_book New to Discourse Themes? Is the footer the component adds visible on pages like /latest with infinite scrolling? When I tried it it was not, so I am curious what customizations you have added that made you suggest it as a solution for the infinite scrolling problem.

[صورة] Moin: Is the footer the component adds visible on pages like /latest with infinite scrolling? Ah - I think you are right. It worked on our ‘landing page’ as we suppressed the topic list (that site is now defunct). But I do wonder if it could be quite easily modified to show on infinite lists.
