אייקון החיפוש נעלם לאחר עדכון ל-3.4.1

Hi,

The search icon on the home page has disappeared after upgrading to 3.4.1

It pops up in topics but only when the page gets scrolled. As soon as the scroll reaches the top it disappears again. Only the “magnifying glass” icon

Wandering if anyone experienced this issue before and if there is a fix without having to rebuild the image.

That’s not the latest. Did you mean 3.5.0 beta 1?

Do you have any custom themes / theme components / plugins etc that could be interfering with your site? If so, try safe mode.

לצערנו חווינו חוויות לא נעימות בהגעה להשקה הבטא, ולכן בשלב זה אנחנו על 3.4.1 עד שנש released גרסה יציבה חדשה. האם אנחנו עדיפים לעלות מ-3.4.1 לגרסה בטא מאוחרת יותר?
ללא תבניות או תוספים מותאמים אישית, הכל נראה כמודד ברירת מחדל חוץ מכמה הגדרות CSS.
תודה שהזכרת את מצב בטוח, לצערי הבעיה זהה במצב הבטוח.

גם שכח Mention, שהבעיה לא ניתן לשחזר במכשירים ניידים, קורה רק במצב שולחן עבודה.

This happened to someone a couple of months ago. [1] Maybe try the solution?

I took a look at his forum and it isn’t very clear.

His current Discourse version is supposed to be:

However, showSearchButton has been introduced recently alongside a new search_experience site settings. It’s not part of the stable version yet, unless I’m wrong (?).

The setting returns nothing:

But once we do set manually a value, the icon appears:

Did you downgrade at some point from the latest to the stable version? It’s confusing, not sure what’s happening.

Hi Arkshine,
That’s actually quite possible. I just spoke to the system admin who has performed an upgrade which went to the latest beta version 3.5.0-beta2-dev, and since we didn’t want any more beta versions moving forward, we changed to look at stable repository for future stable releases.
We however do not recall deploying 3.4.1 manually which must have happened on its own and resulted in downgrade to this version.
Is there any way to either fix the current issue with the search icon as this seems to be the only reported problem or are we better off to handle it differently to be on the safe side and do a setup/rebuild to a specific version?
