Searching locks up the server for a while

Hi everyone.

We have a basic install of Discourse here:

The search has become unbearably slow and sometimes times out. Maybe we are missing some indexes? We figured the installer would have set those up. How can we diagnose the issue and fix? Any experts willing to help out? You can follow this to upgrade:

Every two months we recommend SSH’ing into your web server (using putty or your favorite SSH client) and doing

cd /var/discourse
git pull
./launcher rebuild app
