April 3 this year, my community turned one. We’re almost at holiday time and 2026 is just around the corner. My time with Discourse has been such a pleasure and a huge learning personal experience. I had never really dealt directly with so many brilliant minds in an open-source project, all helping each other and making the internet a better place.
April 3, 2026, we’ll hit 2 years. Its serious, since 2024 this has been the most fun hobby I’ve had in years. I’m thankful to everyone around the world who has contributed, and to the whole Discourse team for keeping that community spirit alive.

Where do I even begin?
10 months ago I had not even heard about Discourse.
10 months ago I was completely ignorant.
10 months later and I can say this software is amazing, the team and helpers here are amazing, our Discourse is getting better day by day.
Huge kudos to all those who make Discourse what it is and will be in the future.
