Shield icon for Admins (in discussion threads)

Does this icon not show up for Admins? Or only shows in topic threads for Moderators?

I’ve been searching for a related setting. I think I probably disabled it when it was myself and 5 other people on the forum. Is there a setting to enable/disable the display of that shield for admins in discussion threads?

Show moderator shield

Any staff user who is moderator, or admin and moderator, will have the moderator shield next to the username.

Tips: the shield will not appear if the staff user has the role of admin but not moderator.

Thanks. So looks like a solution would be to add the admins to moderator group?

That’s right (and if an admin works as a moderator that is only logical move)
