I am a little puzzled as to how people sign or log out from a discourse forum on a public computer. I may have missed something, but I have not been able to find a way, Given the way browsers save previous URLs, I really want to be sure that if I have left the public library, I can be sure I have signed out. This is in a non SSO implementation. What have I missed?

There’s also a keyboard shortcut for this: shift+z shift+z But that won’t eliminate URLs from the browser history. For that you should really be using incognito/privacy mode within the browser itself.

On a public pc, always use incognito/Private browsing mode. Here is an article you might find interesting: [imagem] How to go incognito in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari While incognito mode in any of the big four web browsers offers a measure of privacy, it doesn’t completely hide your tracks online. There was a discussion about some users having troubles finding the logout button where it is. OP seems to be one of them. Hopefully, once you know, you know. [imagem] A click too many: logging out UX Most settings menus have a log out link visible in the main menu or from one click in the menu dropdown. Recently Discourse updated the log out link placement, now requiring the user to navigate to a subpanel of account summary/settings in order to access the log out link. This has confused some (though even the original placement was mentioned as not ideal). Should a log out button be restored to the first visible panel of the user menu?

Brill!. We can sort the rest out, but that is the key

Wow that was hard to find but I did. I don’t think it should be so difficult. Perhaps there should be something in settings to allow an administrator to allow a button to appear.

Houve uma discussão sobre alguns usuários terem dificuldade em encontrar o botão de sair. O OP parece ser um deles. Esperemos que, uma vez que você saiba, você saiba.
