I doubt this is the case - I’d expect an explicit error complaining about this, not “end of file” which usually means premature termination of the connection by the other side.

Give that foxmail.com mail is handled by qq.com, I suspect @LiRen is using qq as their outgoing mail server and the problem is:

It appears that the QQ mail server hangs up the connection prior to transmitting the acceptance of the message, so Discourse thinks it hasn’t been accepted when in reality it has.
