Hello everyone! We use the forum for a self-help organization (ADHD and autism) - for the exchange of registered users, for the organization of self-help groups and then we have a public area.
Unfortunately, we are experiencing that most users do not find their way around well and are overwhelmed.
I would like to discuss this with others.
For example, this area is overwhelming - we have already turned off many messages. But the arrangement of the messages is not intuitive to find:

We also have a chat that is used. The chat has advantages and disadvantages. The other private messages are often no longer found if you don’t know where.
The chat cannot be searched. The fact that there are different ways to send messages is also confusing.
