Theme stylesheets: Can’t use the same filename.scss in different folders discussion summary:

nolo reported an issue with using the same filename.scss in different folders, specifically with a structure like stylesheets/desktop/footer.scss and stylesheets/mobile/footer.scss, where the mobile file is not recognized. However, Don found a workaround by importing the files into separate desktop and mobile stylesheets using @import "desktop/footer"; and @import "mobile/footer";, which worked for them in the theme creator. Don asked nolo to share an example to see if they missed something.

E.g. I have a structure like:

  • stylesheets
    • desktop
      • footer.scss
    • mobile
      • footer.scss

The file in the mobile folder is not regognized. I’d have to name it differently. Can this be changed or is it part of how the files are processed?

Hey @manuel :waving_hand:

I created the same structure and

@import "desktop/footer";
to desktop/desktop.scss

@import "mobile/footer";
to mobile/mobile.scss

I tried to import both to desktop/desktop.scss or mobile/mobile.scss too.

It works for me. I tried it on theme creator.

Am I missed something? :thinking:

Can you share an example? :slightly_smiling_face:
