Toggling off the composer panel

Greetings,

I went to edit my message which had been posted and accidently the composer panel showed and I couldn’t add to the text of the post using the normal text and it could only be edited using the composer panel. How do I return to being able to edit my message using the normal text? I don’t want the composer panel to show if I edit my post.

I have the impression you want to toggle between the rich text editor and markdown mode. Is that correct?

Thanks very much. That solved the problem. The only issue now is that when I edit my message both the message window and the composer panel show next to each other. How do I make it that only the composer panel shows while editing as default which was the way it was previously? Thank you.

Preview panel always shows on desktop for markdown mode by default, but there a button on the bottom right. Hit that and it will toggle the preview off.

Thanks. I toggled ‘peak mode’ and it fixed the problem.

that’s not a standard feature? believe that is a theme component. In the base install, follow my instructions.

Peak mode is part of the Horizon theme, so it’s kind of default.
