Transparent images are being uploaded with a background

Hello,

On my site (with no plugins or custom modifications), whenever I upload a transparent image for a group flair, badge icon, or even the site’s branding/logo, the site adds a solid white background behind the image. The original image is a PNG with a transparent background, and transparency works correctly outside of the site.

Is there a known fix or workaround for this issue?

Hello,

This is caused because PNG’s sometimes get auto converted to jpg. See also Auto convert upload to JPG?

Make sure the image quality setting is set to original should fix it
