@diakopter is experiencing a 429 error when trying to onebox a URL, resulting in a link instead of a preview. @diakopter provided an example URL (https://archive.is/1nePs) but @pfaffman couldn’t replicate the issue on their test box. @diakopter wants to debug the code and suspects the “Discourse” User Agent is being blocked, and would like to override it to resolve the issue.
Still getting this oneboxing 429 error. How can I troubleshoot this on my local installation? Is there a more verbose or detailed onebox log I can enable for study?

That url doesn’t generate a one box here or on try.discourse.org, so I’m not clear that there is a problem on your test box.
But if there is, it sounds like a connectivity issue.
I know, I didn’t mean I thought there was a problem locally. I meant I would like to debug the code or find out what Onebox is doing wrong.
But really, I’d like to be able to override the “Discourse” User Agent since I suspect that’s what’s getting blocked…
