After searching quite a bit and trying this on multiple categories following the this doc Creating and managing calendars

I am unfortunately still unable to change the look of the category calendar for some reason. I have Calendar and Events enabled and events show up on the calendar. When I go to my category I can see the event calendar at the top before the topics in the category.

The category I am in is: 16, the post Id for the About topic is 120, I got this by going to the topic id, adding .json and looking at id, I also confirmed the postId by going to site/p/<id>

I have the category listed as part of “Events calendar categories”

The following entry is what I have, I have tried a number of combinations with no luck:

categoryId=16;postId=120;hiddenDays="1,2"

I have also tried just modifying the above example:

categoryId=16;postId=120;tzPicker;defaultView=month

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

It turns out when I switch Calendar categories outlet from discovery-list-container-top to before-topic-list-body the settings I have start to work.

Is this expected behavior? Should Calendar Categories only work if you are using the before-topic-list-body outlet?
