Updated to esr, but "578 new changes are available"

Today there was an esr release, so I updated my app.yml and rebuilt.

All seems well: I am on 2026.7.0 as intended. Initially the admin dashboard said I was up to date, but after a few minutes it now says

You’re on the most recent release, but 578 new changes are available.

This seems scary and wrong, if indeed I am on esr.

I notice I was quite quick off the mark: the update is only an hour or so old.

The github links are to “commit a5d3a82da4 on GitHub” which is the commit that bumps the version.

Yeah, I’m gonna need a couple of days, at least, to go through all that!

Sorry about that! We had a bug in the ‘version-check’ API endpoint on our side. 578 is the number of commits between the beginning of 2026.7.0-latest and v2026.7.0, so that’s where it comes from.

I’ve fixed things up, so the UI should go back to normal after your site next does a version-check.
