Problemas ao atualizar a versão antiga 2.8.5

Acontece que não atualizamos o Discourse há muito tempo. Atualmente estamos na v2.8.5. Recentemente descobri que o Discourse está muito além da versão 3.
Eu gostaria de atualizar para a versão atual, mas por enquanto, gostaria de pelo menos atualizar para a versão mais recente 2.8.x - 2.8.14.
E aqui está um grande problema. Quando eu reconstruo, o Discourse atualiza a imagem base e recebo este erro:

Os plugins estão todos claros - eles precisam ser comentados no app.yaml. Mas isso não ajuda - os erros de plugin desaparecem, e o erro:

E eu não posso fazer nada a respeito. Existe alguma maneira de atualizar meu fórum para a versão 2.8.14?

Se não, e para o futuro, como posso atualizar da versão 2.8.5 para a versão 3.x.x? A situação é complicada pelo fato de eu usar um banco de dados externo, PosgreSQL. Pelo que entendi, devido aos recursos de IA no novo Discourse, ele requer um banco de dados vetorial, o PgVector. Preciso migrar de alguma forma? Existe um guia sobre como fazer isso de forma correta e indolor?

Parece que os plugins não são a causa da falha na reconstrução, o problema está aqui.

É uma boa aposta que seu sistema operacional também está desatualizado. A coisa mais fácil e segura a fazer é migrar para uma nova VM com um sistema operacional e Docker atualizados.

Aqui está o app.yml original. Eu o ofusquei um pouco. Ele contém todos os plugins. Para testes, eu os removi todos, mas a reconstrução ainda gera um erro.

O Ubuntu 20.04 ainda está bom e tem todos os pacotes mais recentes.
O Docker Engine 28.1.1 também está bem atualizado.

E por que migrar para outra VM se posso atualizar esta no local?

Porque a atualização do postgres pode ser problemática e instalar em uma nova VM garante que você não acabe com um fórum quebrado.

Mas espere. Você tem esta linha no seu app.yml? Isso não vai funcionar porque o contêiner docker atual não funcionará com uma versão tão antiga do Discourse. Você precisa atualizar para a versão mais recente, ou pelo menos para a versão mais recente suportada.

O PostgreSQL está instalado separadamente no Docker, e atualizá-lo não é problema.

Eu apontei para vários. Receio que nenhum se aplique à sua configuração. Você terá que atualizar o postgres. Você terá que instalar o pgvector.

Então será um pouco mais complicado do que eu descrevi, já que você está bem longe de uma instalação padrão.

A versão mais recente é Discourse 3.6.0.beta3-latest. Embora nada seja impossível, se você quiser ficar na 2.8.x, é melhor não fazer nada. Ela não é suportada e tem sérios problemas de segurança.
