yes, I know there’s already a post with that title, but I also have the problem, and I don’t know why. I’m neither behind Cloudflare nor do I have a proxy in front of Discourse, and nothing else is running on the server.
The server is a vServer at Hetzner with an ARM CPU.
Sorry, this isn’t very helpful comment, but I have a strange feeling ARM is/was somehow problematic. Try to use it as search term?
That IP is the container/bridge if I’m not totally wrong.
I generally found little on the topic, only when a proxy or Cloudflare was involved. But that doesn’t apply to my setup.
Self-hosting on ARM here (specifically Graviton3 w/AWS), but my logs show expected user IPs. I know the plural of “anecdote” is not “data,” but I’m not sure if the architecture alone is causal to the problem behavior.
