FYI, I’ve just updated to 2.2.0.beta4 and the version in my Discourse’s dashboard shows 2.2.0.beta3 +223.
The git tag had been attached a commit which wasn’t on a branch. The tags are now attached to the correct commit, so the version label should show correctly next time you update. Sorry for the confusion!
