I want to show “Categories” Tab in categories page.
I already set admin/site_setting/top-menu like this. “categories, latest, top” and make categories page to my default page.
Please anyone know this help me to solve this issue.

It might be only not showing for your user. Take a look at:
/my/preferences/interface and ensure the Default Homepage is set to Categories:

Can it be fixed with updating version?
And When I update my forum version, is there any changes for my site_setting variables?

Yes the update will fix it.
It won’t override any site settings.
