Is it hard and difficult task if updating/upgrading would check if there is known deprecated and/or broken plugins in use and it would inform that before process itself continues?
Here is a bit too many topics about failed upgrades where the reason is known broken plugin. Themes and components are bit easier to hunt down because safe mode gives ”right” idea where an issue lies.
