Warnings: overcommit_memory and Transparent Huge Pages

I found a previous thread about one of these warnings but thought it best to check the current position.

The two warnings begin:

  1. WARNING overcommit_memory is set to 0!
  2. WARNING you have Transparent Huge Pages (THP) support enabled in your kernel.

I’m using a Digital Ocean 2GB droplet.

Also, I didn’t get to read everything as Discourse installed itself - is the text stored in a log file somewhere?

You can ignore those warnings coming from Redis, I think we have inspected them in the past and determined that the current settings are best overall (taking into account the entire Discourse install, not just Redis).
