The discussion revolves around “unmuting” multiple topics at once on a Discourse forum. MiNi_hopscotch initially asked for a solution, having muted around 1,500 topics. cpradio suggested visiting the preferences to see muted topics, but noted the lack of a bulk unmute option.
However, yanokwa provided a workaround for older Discourse versions, involving selecting all muted topics and changing notification settings. tqFan inquired about a current solution, possibly using a script. sam suggested using the bulk actions menu, but tqFan couldn’t find this menu on their forum. JammyDodger clarified that the bulk action is a staff button, accessible by switching to Desktop View if on mobile.
Hello Discourse,
I am a user from one of your forums. (hopscotch forum)
Recently, I learned how to find your unread topics. (By going on to the “mobile” interface)
I cleared my unread topics, but I didn’t notice that I had decided to mute all of the topics.
Now, I have around 1,500 topics that are all muted.
Is there a way to unmute all of the topics at once?
Visit your preferences and ther eis a link (towards the bottom) that will help you see all of the topics you muted. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a way to do it in bulk, but at least this way you can quickly get back to them.
