when use webp image as avatar just shows empty image.

Short answer - don’t use WebP images, they aren’t ready for prime time yet.

Two years later… still not supported in iOS or Safari, interestingly.

WebPのアップロードは（2020年から）しばらく前からサポートされており、macOS 11以降であればSafariでもサポートされています。
