Continuing the discussion from Adding 'anonymous*' to reserved_usernames blocks creation of 'AnonymousXX' name structure in Anonymous mode:

If a user is able to call himself “Anonymous1000” and the latest automatic anonymous mode username is “Anonymous100”, what will be the next anonymous mode username? Anonymous101 or Anonymous1001?

Linked with that, if it’s Anonymous101, I imagine that in due course the software would go straight from Anonymous999 to Anonymous1001 without there being any problems. Is that right?

It would be skipped and the next incremental available number would be used.
