What happened to the “quote whole post” button ?
It suddenly disappeared.
Most annoying.

It is pretty redundant as it clutters the Topic significantly with duplication, and there are other (tidier) tools baked in for that functionality.

Personally, I’m glad to see it gone!

I just checked and it appears to still function?!? (despite last commit being 1.5 years ago )

But that quote method doesn’t include all embedded codes..
For example, this link –
If you highlight this post and select “Quote”, you will get the emoji
but not the associated link.
Is there another way of getting that ?

Well that’s odd. If i use that same example on another discourse
site and highlight it and select “quote”, i just get

So i can see why you might not need the “quote whole post” button
here, but could you explain the discrepancy ?

I can’t explain anything. Because for me it has worked that way all the time for me. Will this happen on safe-mode? Browser issue?

이전 게시물 ^에서 전체 게시물을 강조 표시한 뒤 "인용"을 선택하면 이모지는 나오지만 링크 코드는 나오지 않습니다.
그러니 아마도 이건 별개의 “버그”(!)일 것입니다. (아니요, 왜 단일 이모지에 링크를 걸고 싶어 하는지 저는 모르지만, 어쨌든 그런 기능이 있긴 합니다!)
때로는 링크 이모지가 유용할 수도 있겠네요 .. 예:

어떻게 그렇게 하시나요? 제 컴퓨터에서는 작동하지 않습니다 (노트북, Windows 10, Discourse 클래식 테마).
수정: 방금 더블클릭으로 게시글 전체를 선택해 보았는데, 그땐 작동하더군요. 기가 막힙니다!
수정 2: …그런데 지금은 다시 안 됩니다! 정말 때에 따라 달라지네요.

그냥 복사해서 붙여넣고 인용을 선택하면 됩니다. Win11과 iPad에서 테스트했습니다.
