"Who's Online" Plug-In missing?

AI-generated summary

In a support thread titled “Who’s Online Plug-In missing?”, donaldsoncd asks why the official “Who’s Online” plugin isn’t visible in the Plugin Directory or their Admin settings for Discourse-hosted forums, despite seeing a post suggesting it’s available only for Enterprise hosting. Moin clarifies that the Plugin Directory doesn’t list all Enterprise plugins, but confirms the “Who’s Online” plugin is official and accessible to Enterprise customers — even custom ones — per the pricing page. donaldsoncd thanks Moin for the clarification and playfully notes Moin’s name resembles the German greeting “Moin,” sharing they once lived in Hamburg. The issue stems from inconsistent visibility of Enterprise plugins in the directory and admin UI, not absence of the plugin itself.

Hello!

There is a plugin called “Who’s Online”.

For “Discourse-hosted” or “managed hosting” Forums, the “Who’s Online” plugin is not listed anywhere in the “Plugin directory”, so I can’t tell what tiers have access to it.

(I did find this post where @Moin says you need Enterprise hosting to be able to access it, but it’s not listed under Enterprise hosting in the directory.)

I would also add that the plugin is not listed in my Forum’s Admin settings page (/admin/plugins). Other plugins that are in higher hosted tiers are listed there with an “Unlock this plugin” button, but the Who’s Online plugin just isn’t there.

Could someone clarify the status of the plugin for managed hosting Forums or update the directory accordingly if appropriate?

Thanks!

I will try to explain what my statement is based on:
The plugin directory says that it doesn’t show all plugin available on Enterprise hosting.

That link takes you to a list of all Customization > Plugin topics which are tagged as official. The Who’s online plugin is an official plugin, so it’s on that list.

As an enterprise customer, you can have any plugins - even custom ones. See Discourse pricing | Discourse - Civilized Discussion

Thanks for helping me see that the information is somewhere out there if you look hard enough :upside_down_face:

PS - “Moin” wie auf Deutsch? If so, I used to lived in Hamburg :slightly_smiling_face:
