I remember there used to be many themes.
However, recently I can hardly choose any themes.
Why is that?

Towards the end of 2025 we had an internal discussion about cleaning up our themes and components in use on Meta to make the site easier to manage. We had nearly 20 themes installed at the time, and each had differing sets of components… which sometimes made debugging an issue complicated.
So removing most of them was a “reset” — if there are requests to make some specific themes available here again we might consider it!
