I always have the “Your Discourse installation is out of date.” notification on my dashboard even though I have the latest versions of all plugins and my ESR based install is on the latest commit.
The reason for this is because I pinned the branch to release/2026.7 instead of theesrtag.
So it contacts the hub with:
https://api.discourse.org/api/version_check?installed_version=2026.7.3&branch=release/2026.7
instead of
https://api.discourse.org/api/version_check?installed_version=2026.7.3&branch=esr
I think they should produce the same results as release/2026.7should be equal to esr for quite a few more months, right?
