When clicking it nothing happens. Updating my forum to the alter commit to test there

I believe it’s just showing you that someone liked your post? If you click the number you can see the list of users who liked (maybe the entire button could have this action for own posts…)

Or is this happening on any post, even the ones without likes?

Yes, that is correct. It only displays on your own liked posts
