Is this a site that your are looking at moving to discourse? For 1M/day you may need to move to a more complex setup with haproxy or traefik reverse proxying to multiple backends (which is not supported here). How big is your database?

You can do multiple backend with nginx as well and it is well within the spec. Just serve static via a CDN
