Tag Deletion Question

I have a tag that was added as a synonym some time back.

When checking this is what I see:

tag deletion

If I click delete am I deleting the tag that was added as s synonym or the tag I added it to?

I just want to make sure I am not about to delete the tag I want to keep.

Or is there a better way to do this?

Added synonym is deleted. Really nice feature actually.
