A few users highlight the potential for Discourse to rise as a leading CMS eisammy.

Idk about you guys, but this makes me VERY happy

Especially since (after testing) my instance ranks incredibly well. Could this revive discussion forums around the globe? I remember when Google killed the filter years ago, those were bad times.

EDIT: So far seen in Poland and United States, I am not sure if this is a test or full roll out, but Google is updating the core. The Forum tab literally popped up ten minutes ago while I was searching for something.

I’m kinda offended that my decades-old community comes after Reddit tho :lolsob:

This is great! Finally something other than AI related things

These days it feels like that Reddit comes super high on Google… Also it auto translates english content to finnish which annoys me a lot.

As one redditor said:

Expected - when almost everything becomes AI written - user generated content becomes even more important.

AI answers Google can give themselves.

Future timeline:

  1. People get sick of AI content
  2. Discussion forums will flourish
  3. Discourse becomes the #1 CMS in the world
  4. ???
  5. We all profit (and save the world from AI)
