I am trying to publish an Discourse Theme component publicly, When going to Theme component and creating new topic, it showing all categories as read-only. I am new to discourse, So there any documentation to refer to publish component in discourse?

Hello and welcome, Yes, have you seen this: [imagem] About the Theme component category Theme component Theme components can be used to add front end features or change elements of your forum design. Smaller and more targeted than full themes, they can be combined with other theme components to create a bespoke forum design tailored for your community. You can find more info on how to use, create, and share your own theme components in: Installing a theme or theme component Beginner's guide to using Discourse Themes Designer's Guide to getting started with themes in Discourse Developing Dis… Specifically the part about theme-authors? You can request to join that group. Only those with group-access can publish a new topic in the #theme-component category.

It seems the documentation is all about how to install theme component in discourse but i need help on publishing theme component publicly. Where can i find the group to join please suggest

I often see ppl post a link to their GitHub initially in the #dev category to see if ppl will test. To create a new topic in #theme-component you need to be added to a group.

You can request to join this group: https://meta.discourse.org/g/theme_authors

I think it’s much harder to spot the information in most of the translations because the links are not a single line, but oneboxes with 6 lines of text then. I think it’s less obvious here: [image] Of course, that doesn’t excuse not reading to the end. I just want to share a different perspective.

Interesting, it doesn’t onebox for me. I wonder why. I mean, why it does it different for translated content. Either way, it should be clear now at least

[imagem] chapoi: why it does it different for translated content. I think AI didn’t understand the relevance of the space in front of the link. I have added those to all translations now. Maybe markdown titles for the links would work better than a space and automatic inline onebox :woman_shrugging: Something like [Installing a theme or theme component](https://meta.discourse.org/t/install-a-theme-or-theme-component/63682) Instead of https://meta.discourse.org/t/install-a-theme-or-theme-component/63682
