Clicca su Opzioni nella barra degli strumenti, quindi su Rispondi a un altro post . Si aprirà la finestra di dialogo Cambia destinazione della risposta .
Clicca su Vai a… nell’angolo in basso a sinistra. Non succede nulla.
Immagina un argomento con centinaia o migliaia di risposte. È difficile, se non impossibile, raggiungere esattamente il post desiderato facendo scorrere la timeline. Pensavo che il pulsante Vai a… mi permettesse di impostare la destinazione tramite l’inserimento del numero, ma purtroppo sembra non funzionare.

Previously, the "Jump to..." button in the "Change reply target" modal did nothi… ng and leaked out of the modal, along with the notifications bell ([meta](https://meta.discourse.org/t/415128)). Investigating it surfaced related timeline bugs, several features broken on mega topics (10k+ posts), a site setting that could be replaced by CSS, and a composer render race.
This change fixes them in separate commits:
- **FIX: Hide timeline footer controls in the reply target picker.** The modal's hide rule lost to a more specific core rule.
- **FIX: Typos and dead code in the topic timeline.** `fullScreen` typo, a guard that never matched, and a docked back button that has been invisible and unclickable since 2023.
- **FIX: Features relying on the post stream in mega topics.** Mega topics get no `stream`, so last read markers, back buttons, "Quote post", "Edit first post", "New topic" from share, jumps to unloaded posts, the topic map's user count and the post voting header were broken.
- **UX: Replace `short_progress_text_threshold` with automatic fitting.** CSS now hides "/ total" only when it doesn't fit; the setting is removed.
- **FIX: Load the composer category before rendering.** With lazy loaded categories, the composer rendered before its category loaded, logging warnings and a `DTextField` render error.

Se ho capito bene, i controlli del piè di pagina della cronologia (incluso il pulsante “Vai a”) verranno rimossi del tutto dal selettore dei messaggi di risposta dopo la modifica proposta. Non sarebbe meglio consentire agli utenti di passare a un numero di post specifico, magari in altro modo?
