saggel is looking to hide subcategory links from the home category view. Despite trying solutions from the forum, they were unsuccessful. pfaffman suggested using the “hide category from home page” category setting, but this only works for categories, not subcategories.
pfaffman then suggested using CSS to hide the subcategory links. saggel confirmed that they want to hide the subcategory links on the homepage, but still show them in boxes within the category page.
Johani provided a CSS solution that hides subcategories from the category list while keeping them visible inside the category page:
.category-list .subcategories {
display: none;
}
saggel confirmed that this solution worked perfectly.
On the homepage, under each category, I don’t want to show the subcategories!
I tried the CSS that I found here as solutions from old threads but they don’t work!
I don’t want “theme, Votung, Broken-plugin, solved, extras, chat-integration” and “translations, SSO” to be shown under the categories - I still want to show the subcategories in boxes within the category though!
