My users are complaining about this message:

"So, how does one stop being a “new user”? I got:

Reason:

We’re sorry, but new users are temporarily limited to 3 replies in the same topic.

If you can correct the problem, please try again."

So how long does it take? We are only trying out the forum software, so there’s only so much they can post?

Search for newuser max replies per topic in /admin/site_settings and change the default value as you wish

One caveat here is that there are two limits:

• first 24 hours after signup
• trust level 0

Also worth mentioning, if someone uses mailing list mode exclusively and does not touch the website (except to sign up) they may never achieve TL1.

Ich glaube, Sie haben den Punkt verfehlt, ich auch, aber es betrifft aus irgendeinem Grund bestehende Benutzer. Kein Problem mit “neuen Benutzern”, aber bestehende Benutzer wären zu Recht verärgert - die Funktion (vielleicht ist es ein Fehler) hindert bestehende und wertvolle Benutzer daran, neue Inhalte zu posten.
