This is very similar to Links in category banners now show in black - #8 by bryce

Tags in a banner with white text are difficult to read

It works with black text while using a light colour palette

But not with a dark one

And there is a similar problem with categories

It would also be nice if the colour of the category badge and the tag style matched the appearance in other places like the topic list.

Nice bug report. Thanks! I also reported it but will delete my dupe of this.

Here on meta we also use Tag Icons to add icons to tags, e.g. official fixed completed so they can be more easily identified everywhere. Those tags are not appearing correctly either.
