404 when clicking on badge link (which shouldn’t exist)
There are multiple related issues discussed in this topic.
HAWK reports two bugs: clicking on a badge earned link results in a 404 error, and badges are still being assigned despite being disabled.
tobiaseigen notes that the emoji badge on their site displays titles of topics in private categories.
Mittineague confirms a third bug where the first emoji badge leaks non-public links, resulting in a “need permission” page when clicked. This is related to badges granted for deleted posts.
Mittineague asks if the 404 errors are still present after the July 27 change, sharing a related topic on badge SQL edits.
HAWK confirms the same problem, unsure if the first onebox post for the member ever existed, and notes the badge doesn’t exist.
Ugh - I just noticed that the emoji badge on my site displays the titles of topics in private categories. So I need to disable this badge too, breaking that link.
@HAWK are you still getting the 404s after the July 27 change?
FWIW I did notice similar before, but not because of disabling Badges.
One of my “bad guy” members made a post (back in March) and was granted a First Quote Badge.
After the post was deleted, the Notification and Profile Badge “card” remained.
But clicking on it gave a 404.

Any chance the First Onebox post for that member was deleted?
[/quote] I’m not sure it ever existed. The badge doesn’t.
