Able to edit other peoples topics?

Not sure if this is intentional or not, but here on Meta I appear to be able to modify other users subject lines - for example I added an extra “t” to Read Only banner should float

As a ‘Regular’ user, you are granted certain privileges including the one you mentioned.

Users at trust level 3 can…

  • recategorize and rename topics
  • access a private “frequent flier’s lounge” category only visible to users at trust level 3 and higher
  • have all their links followed (we remove automatic nofollow)
  • spam flags cast on TL0 user posts immediately reach the action threshold

What do user trust levels do?

I would like edit privileges to fix the errors in @RobertKohut’s bullets above.

There is no such thing as “edit everyone else’s posts” unless you are manually promoted to tl4, or manually made an admin or moderator.

Or the post is made a wiki then any TL1 user or above can edit it.

Good catch, I didn’t realize how poorly the formatting copied over.
