Just to add: everything here sounds great with one minor exception.
I would say I am quite opposed to changing <b> to <strong> since I feel that’s a trivial, noisy change that has no real meaning and massive downside in terms of payload size and breaking changes to CSS rules; these tags are synonyms and <strong> is way too verbose. But the rest sounds amazing!
