I am building an internal/customized tier system that is heavily related to badges. I found it very counter-intuitive to need to open a new tab and/or access a new URL to edit a created badge in the Admin GUI.
I really do not know about the technical limitations, but I think that adding or mixing the badge views to the topic wrapper display could suffice and offer a very similar (if not the same) behavior as in Categories, where .navigation-controls allows simple and direct edits to already created elements.
This would add visual and technical consistency, integrating specific and individual views to a clean and integral perspective.
