Automation plugin currently allows adding users to groups through badges and through custom fields.
I’d like to propose a new feature: add user to a target group through membership in another group (with similar settings as the options above—to keep membership synchronized or permanent).
This would cover two scenarios:
- synch: enable a ‘master’ group, which contains members from all ‘subordinate’ groups as long as the user is a member of at least one of those groups
- permanent: when user is added to a group (e.g. support) they are also added to TL4, and when they leave support the TL4 remains as a reward.
This should probably only work on custom groups, with an exception of TL4 group, which is managed manually.
