Yes, we are discussing both of these. A bit worried about the spammers as discussed in other topics. We’ve seen them sign up in our ID system and the come to other tools to spam … although not yet with Discourse, so maybe we’re safe to do so.
Unfortunately not really. We’re providing the data but it’s @zogstrip that is doing the actual migration.
I’m currently having a conversation about importing some kind of post count indicator so that everyone doesn’t start off at the same TL. That doesn’t make sense for an established community migrating to a new platform, especially if you want to get the buy in of existing members.
Just make sure you fill in the name as well as the username 
I believe the issue is a bit different when you are actually migrating content to a new Discourse instance rather than starting from scratch. Indeed, if you have enough data, trust levels will work as expected.
Is possible to get this from the API?

so, I followed up on this and asked a bunch of the community where they thought they were and i had too many responses to ignore…
i had to manually move 4 or 5 folks to Trust Level 3 as a result. Is it possible that this may not be “firing” (a’la a job) every day?
Nope, it is working – no reports of otherwise.

Maybe you are affected by the group setting “Trust level automatically granted to members when they’re added” which, if I recall correctly, will then lock the user in at that level.

I believe this page only accounts for manually locked trust levels; it does not (yet) have a special display for group membership trust level.
Though I would think that a group giving TL2 shouldn’t prevent TL3 promotion.

Out of curiosity, is this feature feasible as part of core? I’m starting to see a this request from users on a few sites. Basically, there are folks who are wanting to get to TL3 but are trying to determine the time commitment required to receive and maintain it.

I don’t think of TL3 in terms of “earning” it. To me it’s more a recognition of participation.
Have you asked, or have any expressed why they want to be TL3 members?
If they want a title as a type of “badge of honor” maybe allowing them to have “Member” as a title would satisfy them.

Good point and question. I think it has to do with them having reached TL3 at one point and then losing it. They became aware of interesting topics in the Lounge and want to maintain that access.
But since these are on sites I don’t actively participate in or own (just an admin for development purposes), I’m not in a place where I can reach out for more info directly.

Non sono sicuro se l’intento di questa richiesta di funzionalità originale fosse che gli amministratori potessero vedere i progressi, ma vorrei anche chiedere che gli utenti stessi possano vedere le proprie statistiche.
Abbiamo un intero programma basato su TL3, che chiamiamo supereroi, che li nutre con vantaggi e poiché le persone possono perdere questo status crea molto lavoro extra per il nostro team per contattarli con uno screenshot della dashboard dell’amministratore.
Ci sono piani affinché questo sia visibile (o opzione per attivarlo come visibile) per gli utenti? Che dire di una sorta di funzionalità di classifica incentrata sul raggiungimento di TL3? Non ho cercato plugin o altro per vedere se esiste già, quindi se ce n’è uno valido che qualcuno conosce, per favore fatemelo sapere. Grazie!

Questo argomento è un po’ confuso con materiale aggiuntivo non particolarmente pertinente alla richiesta di funzionalità Feature request [1] , ma penso che questo punto sia ancora pertinente:
Penso che qualcun altro su un argomento correlato abbia anche sollevato questo punto:
C’è il nuovo plugin Discourse Gamification che può incentivare le persone a partecipare, e che ha un elemento di classifica, oltre a punteggi configurabili (puoi vedere i nostri qui Leaderboard). Non è collegato ai Livelli di Fiducia, quindi potrebbe non essere adatto al tuo programma così com’è.
Tuttavia, puoi anche farti un’idea abbastanza precisa di quanto sei vicino in base al tuo record della directory utente. Se scegli “Trimestrale” dovrebbe darti statistiche ragionevolmente accurate per gli ultimi 100 giorni (più o meno 10 giorni 
).

Sono combattuto su questo, perché l’alternativa è che i moderatori debbano gestire i messaggi privati del tipo “Non sono TL3… dimmi perché?”. Gestire questi messaggi è estremamente fastidioso.
Lo svantaggio di una ricetta “segreta” è:

In realtà, per il 99% dei siti non è segreta, perché nessuno modifica le impostazioni del sito, quindi puoi semplicemente scoprirlo da luoghi come la pagina “Informazioni”, ecc.

Sembra che tu stia giocando a un “gioco” le cui regole sono opache e arbitrarie. Dare questa sensazione agli utenti più fidati di un sito lascia un cattivo sapore.
Forse questa dovrebbe essere un’“impostazione del sito”. Forse il nostro default qui non è giusto.

Raccomando che vengano pubblicate alcune informazioni per gli utenti riguardo al fatto se stiano facendo progressi verso il #3 o una notifica se/perché sono stati retrocessi al #2, ma non dettagli specifici come “devi pubblicare # altri argomenti per essere promosso”.
Con alcuni siti, se le persone pubblicano molti nuovi argomenti ogni giorno, molti potrebbero non voler guardare il 25% di questo, che è il requisito per il #3, quindi sfortunatamente ciò può significare che non le persone più affidabili potrebbero assumere il terzo livello.
Se fosse possibile farlo con una sfumatura di colore o un grafico a torta, sarebbe l’ideale, per esprimere solo se qualcuno è al 20% del suo percorso verso il livello #3 o al 78% di progresso sarebbe utile per le persone sapere in quale area si trovano.

È emerso un suggerimento molto interessante che mi piace molto:
Rendi questo visibile a gruppi specifici… quindi potresti impostarlo in modo che i membri TL3 possano vedere i requisiti TL3 e supportare meglio i TL2 in questo percorso. Mi piace molto perché evita gran parte della patologia che @neil ha menzionato.
