Append text to all emails

Is it possible to append a specific set of text to each email? I don’t mean just editing an arbitrary template, I mean append to every email sent from the system.

If this would require a plug-in, is there a way to catch all emails and edit before sending?

You could do it for digest emails.

Adding custom content to summary emails

Today I added a way to insert custom html and text to digest/summary emails. In the past, only the colour scheme could be customized. Now you can insert arbitrary html using the existing Admin > Customize > Text Content interface and searching for “digest.custom”. Narrow it down to the html emails with “digest.custom.html”. So this would apply when say a user gets an email for a topic reply?

Basically I need to append a custom header (an IMG) into the emails.
