Arabic topic titles don't show up in urls

AI-generated summary

The discussion revolves around the issue of Arabic topic titles not showing up in URLs. Aymane_Shuichi initially raises the question, and Pad_Pors wonders if a plugin is needed. Falco suggests changing the slug generation method to encoded, but Pad_Pors reports that it didn’t work.

However, Pad_Pors notices that some topics have the title in the URL, while others don’t, and wonders what’s causing the inconsistency. Falco suggests that the slugs might have been generated before the setting was changed.

Pad_Pors confirms that renaming a topic and editing the slug resolves the issue, and the URL now contains the Persian title. Falco is credited with providing the solution.

Can we have the arabic topic title in url ?
It’s not there and the url is like : t/topic/7/2

Thanks.

just saw a very strange behavior in our site:

some of the topics the topic-title is in the url, and in the others it’s not!

this one:

versus this one:

any idea what’s happening there?
the first link is much better for our seo, though it’s not a beautiful link!

Maybe the slugs where generated before you changed the setting?

Rename a topic that doesn’t have the slug.

clever guess :grinning: and as you suggested:

Changing slug generation method to encoded doesn’t solve this?
    [/quote]

  • edit the slugs which have been produced before this change.

and it changes the urls so that it contain Persian titles. thanks Falco.
